Based on the evaluation of the information and materials submitted for the study titled "Survey of gendered experiences in the gaming industry and community," (IRB # 14607), the WSU Office of Research Assurances has determined that the study satisfies the criteria for Exempt Research at 45 CFR 46.101(b)(2). This is being conducted according to the protocol described in the Application without further review or approval by the IRB. This certification will remain valid until 8/12/2018.

I began the pilot for this study in 2013, and we took to a larger scale at WorldCon, with over 4,000 potential participants at he event. Study is currently in analysis and report writing stage.
